The "Golden Hands" award

The “Golden Hands” Award is the highest recognition granted by the Croatian Crafts Association. It is presented to distinguished and respected members, as well as to individuals and organizations whose work has significantly contributed to the development and promotion of crafts and small business in Croatia.

The concept of the award is built around three interconnected elements forming a unified whole. The visual of golden hands directly reflects the name of the award and symbolizes craftsmanship, creativity, and the value of skilled work. A dynamic flowing form runs through the hands, representing creativity and the act of making.

The two hands symbolize the importance of craftspeople as one of the fundamental pillars of society throughout history. The fluid design is inspired by reliefs on the fence of the historic building of the Croatian Crafts Association from 1939, evoking the long-standing tradition and continuity of craftsmanship in Croatia.
